Our Sunday church services consist of readings from the King James Bible on a specific subject with correlative readings from our textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, written by the Founder of our church, Mary Baker Eddy. This lesson-sermon is the same one read in all branch churches of Christ, Scientist throughout the world on that Sunday. "The Bible and the Christian Science textbook are our only preachers.... The canonical writings, together with the word of our textbook, corroborating and explaining the Bible texts in the spiritual import and application to all ages, past, present, and future, constitute a sermon undivorced from truth, uncontaminated and unfettered by human hypotheses, and divinely authorized." |
